The Golden Retriever breed was first developed in the mid eighteenth century in Great Britain. It has been classified as one of the most popular dogs in the world as per American Kennel Club in a queue for sixteenth year in 2005. These dogs love to do a job and are considered as good in hunting, herding, etc. They prefer staying close to their owners and may develop behavioral issues on being isolated.
Physical appearance:
The Golden Retriever puppy usually grows into adult dog of 21.5 to 24 inches height and weighs 50 to 80 pounds. Although the male and female Retrievers are of almost same size as puppy, the adult females are smaller than males. These dogs have very expressive face exhibiting kindness, alertness and anxiety. They have soft, dark eyes and ears dropping down. The puppies are well built and strong enough to accompany you whole day. They have dense and silky coat. They are of either light or dark golden color.
Grooming and Behavior:
These puppies need to be brushed with soft bristle couple of time in a week. This breed shed a lot during spring and fall demanding more combing and brushing. Also, the ears need cleansing two times a week.
Puppies are great active pets, but they can be rowdy sometimes. Thus, it is necessary to teach puppies to gentle and kind to kids. They also get along well with all the other pets.
Exercise and Training:
